10.10.2016]Let the achievement of PLI further strengthen the unity of the employees.

BSNLEU heartily congratulates the entire BSNL employees for receiving PLI for the year 2014-15. It may not be a payment of full PLI. But, considering the fact that the employees are getting PLI after 7 long years, this is a great achievement. The last PLI payment was made for the year 2008-09, for which order was issued on 18.09.2009. Before 7^th Membership Verification, Management offered a paltry amount as PLI, for the year 2014-15. BSNLEU not only rejected this amount, but also vowed to get justice to the employees. The country wide powerful demonstrations conducted by BSNLEU on 01.04.2016 and massive dharnas conducted by the United Forum on 07.04.2016, mounted great pressure on the Management. Based on the notice issued by the United Forum for this dharna, conciliations continuously took place, in which the Regional Labour Commissioner also strongly indicted the Management for denial of PLI to the BSNL employees. After the 7^th Membership Verification, the General Secretary of BSNLEU and the General Secretary of NFTE worked in close coordination, both inside the PLI Committee, and with the CMD BSNL. This created a situation, wherein the BSNL Management could not deny PLI to the employees, and the CMD BSNL agreed for Rs.3,000/- as PLI for the year 2014 – 15. Our comrades must understand that this payment of PLI is achieved while the Company is still running into a net loss of Rs.3,880/- crore. Further, it is also a great achievement, that both the Recognised Unions of the Non-Executives have achieved payment of PLI to all, including to the Executives. This achievement of PLI should galvanise the unity of the Non-Executives for the achieving the settlement of wage revision from 01.01.2017
