[21.12.2016]GPF funds allotted to circles.

Corporate Office has allotted funds to the circles, for GPF payment. Despite cash crunch, funds are sent. We appreciate the GM(T&BFCI) for this. Com.P.Abhimanyu,GS, had a long discussion with shri Y.N.Singh, GM(T&BFCI) today, about making uninterrupted payment of GPF advance to the employees, in a situation wherein BSNL is facing cash crunch due to demonetisation, as well as reduction in revenue, due to competition from Reliance Jio. Certain suggestions have come up in the discussion, which will be further discussed with the Member(Finance) of the DoT.

21.12.2016]BSNLEU writes to the CMD for allotment of funds for payment of GPF advance.

Corporate Office has not allotted funds to the circles this month, for the payment of GPF advance. When the issue was discussed with the GM (T&BFCI), BSNLEU is told that funds would not be allotted this month, due to cash crunch. Hence, BSNLEU has written to the CMD BSNL, demanding allotment of funds.<<view letter>>

[21.12.2016]BSNLEU demands payment of Rs.10,000/- of the salary in cash.

The Finance Ministry and the DPE have issued letters, stating that a salary advance of Rs.10,000/- should be paid in cash to the employees of the PSEs. BSNLEU wrote to the Director (HR), last month, demanding implementation of the order. However, it was not implemented in BSNL. Hence, BSNLEU has once again written to the CMD BSNL, demanding Rs.10,000/- of the salary, for the month of December, 2016, to be paid in cash.<<view letter>>

20.12.2016]Instructions to be followed in connection with the 8th All India Conference, to be held at Chennai from 31st December, 2016 to 3rd January, 2017.

The All India Centre of our Union has discussed about the ways and means for conducting our 8th All India Conference successfully, as well as in an orderly and disciplined manner. These decisions of the All India Centre were communicated to the CEC members and district secretaries, through the CHQ circular no.15, dated 22nd September, 2016, i.e., 3 months before the All India Conference. According to the decisions of the All India Centre: - 

(1)  Registration of the delegates and observers will be held from 14:00 hrs. to 20:00 hrs. on 30th December, 2016. With a view to facilitate this, the Reception Committee has arranged staying accommodation and food for the delegates and observers from 30th December, 2016 onwards. Hence, it is the responsibility of the circle secretaries to ensure that all the delegates and observers of their respective circles are registered on 30th December, 2016 itself. On any account registration of delegates and observers will not be done on 31st December, 2016.  

(2)  Visitors will be allowed in the Seminar and the Inauguration of the Subjects Committee to be held on 31st December, 2016. However, it should be kept in mind that the capacity of the Hall is only 1,500. 

(3)  Only delegates and observers will be allowed in the Subjects Committee, i.e., from 1st January, 2017 to 3rd January, 2017. No visitors will be allowed in the Subjects Committee. 

All comrades are requested to kindly follow the decisions of the All India Centre, and to cooperate with the CHQ and the Reception Committee for the success of the 8th All India Conference.

19.12.2016]BSNL is taking on Reliance Jio, by announcing aggressive marketing. Offers unlimited free voice calls. 

BSNL is taking on Reliance Jio, by announcing unlimited voice calls. It has announced two schemes with unlimited voice calls. The first one is unlimited free voice calls, within BSNL network with 300 MB data, for Rs.99. The validity period will be 28 days. However, this offer is limited to Kolktat TD, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Assam, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra and Rajasthan. The second scheme is with unlimited calls, which includes other networks also, with 1 GB data usage for Rs.300. It's validity period will be 28 days. These new tariffs announced by BSNL, have to be popularised among the public, through aggressive marketing.

[19.12.2016]C.L.Yadav, GM, BSNL, Jallandhar, booked by CBI,  on corruption charge.

CBI has booked a General Manager of BSNL, presently posted in Jallandhar, on corruption charge. The CBI has accused that C.L.Yadav, while working as GM, Projects in Indore, has misused his office, and has favored a company called Texmo Pipes and Products Ltd., in the purchasing of duct pipes. For this, C.L.Yadav has received bribe of over Rs. 60 lakh. The CBI has conducted raids in the residences of C.L.Yadav, as well as that of the Managing Director and a Director of Texmo pipes.

[12.12.2016]FNTO and it's Forum partners are joining the one day strike, against Subsidiary Tower Company.

A discussion is held today, between com.P.Abhimanyu,GS,BSNLEU, and com.K.Jayaprakash,GS,FNTO & Convenor of the forum led by FNTO. Com.P.Abhimanyu requested that FNTO and it's Forum partners should join the one day strike to be held on 15-12-2016. Com.Jayaprakash agreed to it and said that letter to this effect would be given to the Management tomorrow

[10.12.2016]Membership Verification of the Executives completed. BSNLEU heartily congratulates all.

The Membership Verification of the Executives is over. After the formation of BSNL, this is the first Membership Verification for the Executives. SNEA has come first with 20,128 and AIBSNLEA has come a close second with 18,438 votes. BSNLEU heartily congratulates both SNEA and AIBSNLEA for their wonderful performance. BSNLEU also heartily congratulates all the Associations which have cooperated for the accomplishment of the democratic exercise. The Verification campaign was a prolonged one and substantial bitterness has been generated in the process. BSNLEU’s prayer is that, this should not result in a permanent rift. All the Associations of the Executives and Unions of the Non-Executives have to join hands, for carrying out the greater task of protecting and strengthening BSNL. Let us unitedly carry out this task.<<view results>> 

[09.12.2016]BSNLEU demands the immediate reconstitution of the National Council.

It is already seven months after the results of the 7^th Membership Verification were declared. However, the National Council is not yet reconstituted based on the results of the 7^th Membership Verification, despite BSNLEU’s repeated reminders. Once again BSNLEU has written to the Director (HR), demanding immediate reconstitution of the National Council.<<view letter>>
